Global Stray Dog Crisis Map Completed
Dog Desk Animal Action’s Global Stray Dog Crisis Map is now complete.
The project assesses countries based on available evidence relating to stray dog welfare, population management, shelter systems, culling practices and legislative developments. The map is intended to provide a global overview of where free roaming dogs face the greatest challenges and where progress is being made.
Over the coming weeks, individual country blogs will be released daily to accompany the map. These articles will explore the situation in each country in greater depth, examining local legislation, welfare concerns, population management strategies and emerging developments affecting dogs on the ground.
The map and accompanying country profiles form part of Dog Desk Animal Action’s ongoing commitment to evidence-based reporting on global companion animal welfare.
