Six Dead Dogs Discovered During Investigation Of Boarding Facility
Court documents reported on 8 October have revealed further details of an investigation into an unlicensed boarding and training facility in Glen Carbon. Authorities reportedly discovered 18 living dogs in severely neglected conditions and six dead dogs. Three women associated with the property have been indicted on animal cruelty charges. The allegations remain subject to criminal proceedings.

Greyhound Racing Ban Raises Concerns Over Rehoming Capacity
Animal welfare organisations have warned that the implementation of Wales’s greyhound racing ban must be carefully managed to prevent rescue services becoming overwhelmed. Approximately 360 greyhounds are registered at the country’s remaining racing venue. Welfare groups favour a gradual reduction in racing to allow sufficient time for veterinary care, rehabilitation and rehoming.
