Necessary information and thank you for giving a full picture but OMG, so depressing. Why is abandonment so acceptable? What is it that allows so many humans to abdicate any sense of responsibility, let alone love, kindness and compassion for their animals. I despair of so many of the human race. Their greed, selfishness and lack of feeling or empathy. Give me my dog, or any animal instead!
