Golden Retriever Mix Cesur Abandoned & Sick
Cesur is a golden retriever mix who was once a beloved pet. However, he was discovered abandoned in a derelict building, lacking both food and water. It was clear that Cesur was in a dire state of health.
A kind person found Cesur and immediately took action to get help for him.
Too unwell to walk, Cesur was gently carried to the car and driven to the nearest vet.
Cesur was a pitiable sight, reduced to nothing more than skin and bone due to prolonged starvation.
His eyes were crusted over, and his once-glorious coat was now a patchy, bald mess, with some areas completely devoid of fur.
His entire body was riddled with open sores, a painful testament to his suffering.
Despite the dire condition, there was a flicker of hope in his eyes, a silent plea for kindness and care.
Cesur's vet conducted a comprehensive series of tests to evaluate his overall health and determine the underlying cause of his issues.
Unfortunately, Cesur was diagnosed with leishmania, a potentially severe disease with an uncertain prognosis. Transmitted by a sandfly, the disease can inflict irreversible damage to the organs.
Cesur commenced his treatment, and all that could be done was remain hopeful.
Cesur's journey to recovery was marked by small yet significant milestones, with the first positive sign being his renewed appetite. Witnessing him eat again brought a wave of hope to everyone involved in his care.
The path to recovery was not easy, as his treatment spanned six long and intensive months. The commitment and care shown by those around him played a crucial role in his healing process. As the months passed, Cesur's resilience shone through, and step by step, he moved closer to regaining his strength and vitality.
Eventually, Cesur was well enough to be discharged from the clinic. At this point, he was under the care of a kind German animal advocate. She sent Cesur to a pension where he would be safe and well looked after.
The environment was serene and nurturing, allowing Cesur to recover fully and gain strength.
Surrounded by lush greenery and compassionate caregivers, Cesur began to flourish, his eyes sparkling with renewed hope and joy.
Cesur’s rescuers dedication and kindness made all the difference, giving Cesur a new lease on life and a chance to thrive in a safe haven.
Sadly, Cesur's carer ran out of funds to pay his pension rent, leaving him very vulnerable. Without intervention, he would be sent to a municipal shelter where he might lose his life. We stepped in and placed him in the Eden Dogs programme.
Our Eden Dogs programme is specifically designed for dogs like Cesur—those who slip through the cracks and urgently need help, or they risk losing their lives.
We focus on providing immediate care and resources to save these vulnerable dogs. By offering a safe haven, we strive to give them the second chance they deserve & giving them hope for a brighter future.
Cesar truly impressed us during our recent visit. His warm and approachable nature made our time together delightful. He’s not only gentle but also very adaptable, fitting in seamlessly with the other dogs at the pension.
Cesar thrives in social settings, relishing the opportunity to be around both his canine companions and humans alike. His friendly demeanour ensures that everyone, whether on two legs or four, enjoys his company.
Cesur is a wonderful soul, patiently waiting for the day when he will join a loving family who will cherish him forever.
Until that day comes, he is surrounded by care and comfort, knowing that he will always have a place with us for as long as he needs.
