An employee at the Kastamonu municipal shelter has bravely come forward to reveal distressing information about the conditions he faces.
Overwhelmed by stress, he shares that each day he is responsible for loading 3 to 4 cars with the bodies of deceased dogs. The harsh realities of his job have taken a significant toll on his mental health, leaving him feeling broken and overwhelmed.
He points a critical finger at veterinarians who visit the shelter, accusing them of turning a blind eye to the suffering of the animals. This alleged negligence has left him feeling complicit in the ongoing distress of the dogs, exacerbating his own feelings of guilt and helplessness.
His heartfelt disclosure sheds light on the urgent need for change within the shelter to protect both the animals and the well-being of the staff.

The allegations against the animal shelter raised serious concerns among animal advocates.
In response, they employed a drone to gather evidence, which captured a troubling scene.
The footage shows what appears to be a woman injecting two dogs with an unknown substance, with both animals appearing unresponsive to their surroundings.
Subsequently, the video reveals a truck transporting the dogs to a burial pit.
This incident has sparked outrage and calls for an investigation into the shelter's practices.

Animal advocate Mr Ibrahim Kaya visits the shelter & is denied access. He is detained by police & released after a short time without charge.
The municipality claimed that the dogs were euthanised due to aggressive behaviour where municipal workers were bitten.
Meanwhile, the whistle-blower's statement seemingly omits these details, raising questions about transparency and the full context of the situation.
Determining who to believe becomes complex, as it involves weighing the credibility of both parties and considering any potential biases or motives.
It's important to seek an independent investigation to unravel the truth behind these serious allegations. As yet no such independent enquiry has been launched.

Animal advocacy group Paw Friend from Kadikoy Istanbul made a heartfelt plea regarding a dog which had been collected that day in Kastamunu.
The dog was friendly, docile, non aggressive & healthy yet it was still removed from the street & loaded in to a municipal van most likely following a complaint.
Amendments to the animal welfare law state that only aggressive or sick dogs should be collected.
I have concerns yet again regarding the handling techniques of municipal workers.
This poor dog is being carried by his skin to the front & rear.
This type of handling is completely unacceptable from handlers who are supposed to have received education in this area.
Despite the discomfort this dog was in it is noted that they did not display any aggressive or resistance whatsoever.
