Some of the dogs in our care have already been rescued once. They were pulled from dangerous streets or terrible conditions with the hope of a better life. But somewhere along the way, they were let down again.
Simply because they stayed too long, and people moved on.
When this happens, these dogs are at real risk of being sent to overcrowded municipal shelters, where survival is uncertain and kindness is rare. In some cases, they face culling.
At Dog Desk Animal Action, we refuse to let that be the end of their story. That’s why we created the Sanctuary Project a safe, stable place for dogs who need time, healing, and commitment.

What Is the Sanctuary Project?
The Sanctuary Project is our safety net for dogs who’ve been failed by the very system meant to protect them. These are ex street dogs. They have already been rescued but somewhere along the way, they were forgotten.
Without our intervention, these dogs would be passed back into a system that can no longer care for them a system where they may be housed indefinitely in municipal shelters, with minimal care, or culled to make space.
At the Sanctuary Project, they are never forgotten again.
Some dogs remain with us for life. Many are simply overlooked by adopters, and their long wait becomes a quiet, loving home.
