A video shared widely across Turkish social media this week showed a market employee calling a cat toward her before spraying a chemical degreaser directly into the animal’s face.
This is becoming more & more common for likes on social media, there was one just the other day in the UK. A young "man" at a party grabbed a cat by it's tail and lobbed it over a balcony then uploaded the video to Snapchat. The cat landed on a hut roof with nails sticking upwards! The cat is ok thankfully but he only received a fine, walked out of court grinning like an idiot, however he's an untouchable idiot! Until animal abuse is taken seriously with accountability from social media platforms, one strike and banned for life, to police to the courts this will only continue to escalate!
Very sorry to hear that Linda, poor cat. I am glad the cat is okay but what a traumatic experience for the little one. We are trying to find out what the motivation was in this case, will we ever know I am not sure but one thing is for certain she will face charges for it.
