Stray Dog Solidarity Alliance: Uniting Voices for Change
At Dog Desk Animal Action, we believe that collaboration is the most powerful tool we have to create lasting change for stray dogs.
That’s why we are proud to be hosting the Stray Dog Solidarity Alliance – a new global initiative bringing together individuals, organisations, and communities who are committed to building a safer, kinder world for street animals.
Why We Need Solidarity
Across the world, stray dogs face violence, neglect, disease, and persecution. They are victims of misinformation, government culls, and indifference. Yet, wherever there are stray dogs, there are also compassionate people working tirelessly to help them. Too often, these efforts are isolated, fragmented, and under-resourced.
The Stray Dog Solidarity Alliance exists to change this. By uniting animal advocates across borders, knowledge can be shared, voices can be amplified, and campaigns can be strengthened to influence policy, media, and public opinion.
What the Alliance Will Do
The Stray Dog Solidarity Alliance will:
Connect activists and organisations working on the ground with strays.
Share resources and expertise to improve welfare standards and veterinary care.
Challenge harmful narratives in the press and promote a more compassionate view of stray dogs.
Campaign collectively for humane, sustainable, and evidence-based approaches to managing stray populations.
Stand in solidarity with those facing intimidation or violence for defending the rights of animals.

Dog Desk Animal Action is proud to provide the platform for this initiative. Hosting the Alliance means giving advocates a space to network, strategise, and build campaigns that have global reach and impact.
Our mission has always been to give a voice to the voiceless and to push back against cruelty and injustice.
With the Stray Dog Solidarity Alliance, we take this mission further – by ensuring that those who stand up for street dogs are not standing alone.
