The Eden Dogs
A new project in which we snatch vulnerable dogs away from the jaws of death
Good kind people often scoop up stray dogs who are unwell or in trouble in Turkey with no clear path for them. They send them to pensions a kind of boarding house for dogs which has a monthly expense.
Over time with hyperinflation biting hard, many of these kind people have found that they can no longer pay the rents leaving the dogs in jeopardy again.
The only solution, if they cannot find homes for them is to have them put to sleep or send them to a municipal shelter which pretty much amounts to the same thing.
We are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with a wonderful gentleman who has generously opened up spaces to us in a stunning setting for dogs facing euthanasia due to economic hardships or rescuer abandonment.
The facility is expansive, featuring both indoor and outdoor areas for the dogs. It is impeccably maintained, offering play areas, grassy spaces, and an on-site first aid station.
A vet is always on call to address any medical needs, ensuring the dogs receive exceptional care.
This truly is a haven for dogs, where their well-being is prioritized and they can enjoy a high quality of life.
Henry, the first dog to join the program, endured a serious accident when he was struck by a truck on the highway.
His injuries were severe, and although he underwent surgery, there was significant concern about the possibility of a permanent disability resulting from the accident.
Henry currently has no sponsors & desperately needs small monthly sponsorship to guarantee his place in the programme. If you would like to help him you can visit his profile here
Ruzgar is the second dog to join the programme.
She was discovered in a nest with her two new-born puppies. With only one eye, she faced challenges in providing for her little ones. Despite her struggles, Ruzgar's resilience and maternal instincts shone through, and with help the family all made it through.
Ruzgar currently has one sponsor & desperately needs small monthly sponsorship to guarantee her place in the programme. If you would like to help her you can visit her profile here
Zeliha is the third dog to join the programme.
She was abandoned by her family in Istanbul. Confused, frightened & very worried she came under the protection of a very kind lady who sadly can no longer fund her care.
Like all the dogs in this programme, Zeliha would be euthanised without our support
Zeliha currently has no sponsors & desperately needs small monthly sponsorship to guarantee her place in the programme. If you would like to help her you can visit her profile here
The fourth death row dog to join the programme is Gul which is Turkish for Rose.
She was abandoned in a remote forest in Bursa. She was suffering with mange, a nasty head wound & was so hungry she had been eating soil to survive.
Gul currently has some sponsors but needs more to guarantee her place in the programme.
If you would like to help her you can visit her profile here
The fifth dog to join the programme is Papatya.
An older dog, she suffered severe abuse on the streets. She was beaten so badly the stick used to beat her broke in two.
Papatya currently has some sponsors but needs more to guarantee her place in the programme.

Your compassionate and unwavering support for the disadvantaged dogs in Turkey is truly commendable.
Your assistance not only provides these dogs with the opportunity for a joyful life but also instils hope for a brighter future in all of us.
Thank you for being a beacon of kindness and making a difference in their lives.
